Norman “Storm” Bradley born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, the home of famed artist that range from Parliament Funkadelics to the hot female group “Total”. Norm graduated from Plainfield High School where he was known as “DJ. Norm Ski”. He rocked high school parties and also spinned the wheels of steel at some of The Tri States hottest clubs. His passion for music didn’t stop at just dee-jaying, he also formed a rap group called Fresh Finesse and released their first single titled “ You Ain’t Saying Nothin” on Valley/Trumpet/Atlantic records The single did well in the US.and was #11 on London’s top DJ./Producer Tim Westwood’s top 40 pick hit list. He then went on to study recording engineering and the business of music at the prestigious Arts Institute of Atlanta, GA. While pursuing his education he decided to go back to the Tri-State area to start his own music production company and studio, which led to the transformation from dee-jay to producer/songwriter. The first act he discovered, produced and developed was a female R&B/Hip-Hop group called “Total Opposites” which consisted of three local New Jersey girls Kima, Keisha, and Pam, they later went on to become the bad girls of Bad Boy Records-“Total”. Since then he has worked in the studio and has done business with an array of artist and celebrities such as Whitney, Bobby Brown, Nice and Smooth, M.O.P.,NBA legend Earl the Pearl just to name a few. Norman along with friends and business associates recently formed a company called “Best Kept Secrets Entertainment” which is now has national distribution. He is currently developing new artist and projects using new innovative marketing strategies for them. His most recent business ventures now include brokering and negotiating deals for writers and recording artist with his friend and business partner music executive Blossette Kitson of Kitson and Associates LLC. Storm Norm is well on his way to becoming a force to be reckoned with in this jungle we call the entertainment industry. Watch out! “the STORM is coming” Patricia Collins-Roach has strong history in the music industry. Patricia began her career in the late 80’s with Def-Valley Records handling artist development, marketing and promotions. In 1989 Patricia moved on to work with Trumpet/Atlantic where she was part of the team that broke Babies Having Babies by Terry Tate which top the Billboard R& B singles Chart. Patricia is a music industry insider and has worked in many arenas in the music industry from the recording studio, record label, artist development, marketing/promotions, radio, publishing and licensing. In addition to her music knowledge and experience Patricia has been a successful realtor for the past 18 years. Known for drawing on her varied experiences to advise others Patricia has worked with many artist and music organizations. Patricia has an entrpurneral spirit and has developed two successful businesses she oversees along with her husband. In her post as President of Best Kept Secrets Patricia strives forward to assist in the mission of this Phenomenal Company to bring the hidden artist to the main scene. The Vision of longtime friend and business partner Norma Bradley brought Patricia back into the fold. Norman and Patricia’s relationship spans a period of twenty plus years. In a recent interview Patricia is quoted stating when Norman shared his vision for this company and the goal of bringing the artist that doesn’t fit that fabricated mode to the mainstream I could not resist the opportunity to join him in something we both fought for most of our careers. Kiya Appling Jefferey Mason was an army brat born in Fort Benning, GA and raised in Plainfield, NJ. A life long fan of the artist’s creative expression and the music created from it. Even though my life’s path may not have led me to the industry initially, our paths moved parallel with each other. Jeff has never strayed to far from the music world. I have been through the process of getting a demo cut for an artists and scheduling studio time as well as funding the project. From this experience along with my relationship with Norman Bradley, CEO of Best Kept Secret, LLC, I have kept in touch with what’s hot and fresh on the music scene. Keeping my eyes and ears open to the knowledge being passed I have come to an understanding of the importance of artist development and the sensitive nature of the artist/company relationship. Jeff has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1995, starting out entry level in laboratory. Through hard work and dedication grew to the present level of Senior Scientist. My work in the pharmaceutical industry has given me a working knowledge of time schedules and the importance of meeting time lines and dates. The experience gained in throughout the years in the corporate world will benefit BKS in helping form and keep a strong business foundation and structure. My time in the corporate world has improved on my ability to be part of a team that is interdependent on each other for success. As director of A&R at BKS Jeff will bring the same dedication, hard work and ambition as he has to the corporate world for the past 13 years. Help artists gain find their way in this industry. Help form a strong bond between BKS and its artists that will foster a strong family environment. As well as bring success and longevity to all parties involved. In addition help this phenomenal company achieve its mission of bringing true talent back to the music industry. Artie Smallwood has over 17 years experience in media sales. Artie’s sales background includes radio advertising, cable advertising, Internet and syndication sales. Artie’s experience includes sales in markets such as New York City, Raleigh, N.C. and Hilton Head, S.C. Currently employed as a Multimedia Sales Manager at Comcast Cable, Artie oversees thirty-second commercial, On-Demand and online sales (Comcast.net) in Comcast’s New York DMA. Artie’s accomplishments at Comcast include: 2006 and 2007 President’s Club Award (top billing sales office in the New York DMA) Grew annual billing by over 20% in two years Managed sales of the first Interactive Health Care and Automotive accounts (Video On Demand) Prior to joining Comcast in 2005, Artie spent eight years at Bloomberg Financial News Headquarters in New York City. Initially hired as a syndication sales representative in 1997, Artie sold syndicated reports, a 24 - hour cable network and Internet content before being promoted to U.S. Distribution Manager in 1999. As a manager, Artie’s efforts include increased radio distribution beyond talk radio to include music formats, first time TV distribution in 10 of the top 10 TV markets and over 80% of U.S. television households. From 1992 to 2005, Artie held various radio advertising sales positions including account executive for Clear Channel Communications and Inner City Broadcasting’s WBLS & WLIB in New York City.
